Gaps
The film Gaps takes place in private settings where women discuss everyday sexual assaults in public spaces. The women's conversations unfold episodically, one after the other. Each woman is told a story, and she responds with her own. These are dialogues about patriarchy. The protagonists are friends, mothers, and daughters. The stories these women of different ages tell each other are similar in their absurdity. The act of telling these stories makes the women complicit, privy to a situation that must be changed.
